workshops

All the workshops below take place in Prince Albert, a semi-desert Karoo town at the foot of the incredible Swartberg Mountain Pass.

The workshops are grounded in Prince Albert's compelling biodiversity, unique rock formations and local culture.

More-than-Human / More-than-Drawing

20 - 23 MARCH 2026

In March we wrapped up three days of exploring how drawing can be used to interact with, listen to, and respond to the more-than-human world. A delicious long weekend of being outdoors, getting our hands dirty, leaning into all our senses, and creative play. It was also a weekend of collective curiosity and creative companionship.

HEART of STONE

19 - 23 JUNE 2026 / 5 day workshop

A midwinter workshop infused with the slow pace of planetary time. This workshop invites us to play with the varied places stones hold in our imagination, and to consider stones as time keepers and storytellers. We'll make site visits to tamed stones and wild stones. We'll explore the alchemical transformation of stones into art materials and you'll take home your own pigments.

A hands-on, grounding, and meditative workshop.

Workshop fee: R5800 / includes facilitation, all materials and selected catering

To See a Flower @ Bodhi Khaya

4th - 7th SEPTEMBER / 3 day workshop

Nobody sees a flower – really – it is so small – we haven't time – and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time.” Georgia O'Keefe

This workshop explores drawing as an exercise in empathy, with the setting of the old-growth milkwood forests to remind us to ‘take time’.

Bodhi Khaya is a wonderful retreat space in the Overberg, where you'll also have the opportunity to participate in yoga, meditation, walks and trails, or a treatment. All meals are provided by the famously delicious Bodhi Khaya kitchen. You'll have everything you need to really lean into an attentive, connected, and  nourishing space.

Workshop fee: R3600 includes facilitation and all materials

Catered accommodation: through Bodhi Khaya
