WORKSHOPS

All the workshops below take place in Prince Albert, a semi-desert Karoo town at the foot of the incredible Swartberg Mountain Pass.

The workshops are grounded in Prince Albert's compelling biodiversity, unique rock formations and local culture.

More-than-Human / More-than-Drawing

20 - 23 MARCH 2026

In March we wrapped up three days of exploring how drawing can be used to interact with, listen to, and respond to the more-than-human world. A delicious long weekend of being outdoors, getting our hands dirty, leaning into all our senses, and creative play. It was also a weekend of collective curiosity and creative companionship.

HEART of STONE

19th - 23rd JUNE

In June we spent four slow days using our hands to think about the living qualities of stone. Thank you to a group that gave their wholehearted presence to the time we spent together, whether it was creative play in the studio, mindful drawing in the mountains, or labouring away over grinding stones to create pigment!

To SEE a FLOWER

4th - 7th SEPTEMBER

Hosted by the wonderful Bodhi Khaya Nature Retreat, this workshop explored how we might use drawing to attend to the world around us. Dividing our time between the old milkwood forest and a makeshift studio in the meditation hall, we used drawing to pay attention to our attention! A spacious weekend of conversation and creativity.
